Craft History
The T-70 X-wing fighter was a newer version of the classic design X-wing starfighter used by the Resistance in their fight against the First Order approximately 30 years after the Battle of Endor.

The T-70 X-wing starfighter is a cruciform starfighter. Itís armed with four wing-mounted laser cannons and dual projectile launchers which could carry proton torpedoes, concussion missiles, or mag-pulse launchers in the quick-change weapons bay. An underslung blaster cannon could also be mounted. The weapons were aimed using a targeting computer.

The craft had one pilot and an astromech droid, and was equipped with a hyperdrive and a spotlight on the ventral surface below the cockpit. The pilot had access to ejection systems in the form of a Guidenhauser Ejector seat, and was protected by an armored cockpit. The astromechs fit into a socket which could be variably configured for different models.

The long nose featured the projectile launcher in the bottom and a sensor in the cone. Along with the four advanced 5L5 fusial thrust engines, the craft featured retro thrusters with electromagnetic gyros for fine maneuvers.

The newer version was faster and more heavily armed than the old T-65s. Compared to the new generation of First Order TIE fighters, the T-70s were more expensive and complex, but also more versatile, able to fight both starfighters and capital ships.

The Incom-FreiTek T-70 X-wing starfighter was in use by the Resistance 30 years after the Battle of Endor. By that time, it had been replaced in New Republic service by the T-85 X-wing. The Resistance was unable to build sufficient numbers of the T-70, and had to rely on covert New Republic support.

The craft were donated by sympathizing members of the Republic, and the Resistance operated a fleet of the X-wings out of their base on D'Qar. Blue Squadron had their X-wings stationed in a hangar at the base.

During the struggle against the First Order, the Resistance deployed their X-wings to rescue the astromech droid BB-8 carrying information about Luke Skywalker on Takodana.

Soon after, as the First Order prepared to fire their Starkiller Base superweapon at the Resistance base, one wing of the Resistance's starfighters consisting of Blue Squadron and Red Squadron attempted to destroy the weapon, which succeeded after Black Leader Poe Dameron knocked out the thermal oscillator.

Modelling Notes

There are a number of differences between the New First Order TIE Fighters and the Older standard TIE Fighters, Iíve totally remade the wings, from the front they seem wider due to the wing braces but they are actually thinner than the previous models, also the wing strut are brand new plus Iíve also made a few changes to the cockpit pod. So those of you who may think itís just a re-textured version of the old fighter youíre wrong.

Installation Notes

You have two options when installing the TIE/sf, according to a few sources the TIE has missile launchers on the lower gun turret, so to be on the safe side I have included a version with missile launcher and one without. Also please note the lower gun turret DOES NOT rotate, it is fixed in the forward firing position but it can be fired.

Please Note: The cockpit is just the standard cockpit included with any of my TIE's, I thought about creating a new two seater cockpit, butÖ since you canít fire the guns facing backwards the need for a new cockpit wasnít necessary, plus since youíre the pilot you spend all your time facing forward, the only thing missing really is the rear window which you'll see on the exterior model. You will also note that with most of my other TIEís the engines are orange/red to represent flame or heat from them, but with the TIE/sf the engines donít seem to glow, Iíve looked at footage from the hangar when Finn and Poe try to escape the Star Destroyer and there doesnít seem to be any noticeable glow from the new enigines.

Craft History

The TIE/sf space superiority fighter was a starfighter model used by the First Order, a specialized version of the TIE/fo space superiority fighter. It was a two-seater unlike the previous TIE models, and was outfitted with enhanced weapons and sensor systems as well as hyperdrives and deflector shields. The TIE/sf was reserved for members of the First Order's elite Special Forces. On the lower side of the vehicle, directly below the primary fuel tank, was a turret containing a pair of laser cannons and a mag-pulse warhead launcher.

Craft History

The TIE/fo space superiority fighter, commonly known as the First Order TIE fighter, was a starfighter used by the First Order. As the First Order was a military junta inspired by the Galactic Empire, it also kept the TIE/LN starfighter design for their fighters, but upgraded the ship to modern combat standards. The TIE/sf space superiority fighter was a two-seated variant utilized by the First Order which only elite pilots were allowed to handle.

Advancements from the Empire's TIE/LN included on board deflector shields that provided better protection and offensive capabilities, improved solar cells, and higher-capacity converters. These upgrades were a side effect of the First Order's change of treatment towards pilots, seeing them as critical assets rather than cannon fodder.

Modelling Notes

Iíve replaced the sensor dish with a rectangular version as seen in TFA, Han and Chewie remain at the helm when I made the changes to the TFA Falcon at that time I didnít know they killed off Han, so, sorry but no Rey flying the Falcon, but I have made Han look older.

Craft History

More than two decades after the events of Return of the Jedi, the Falcon was stolen from Han following his separation from Leia after their son fell to the the dark side. It was in turn stolen several other times before sitting unused for several years in Niima Outpost on the junkyard planet Jakku, under the possession of junkboss Unkar Plutt. Rey, Finn, and BB-8 stole the vessel to escape an attack from the First Order on the outpost.

While in space flight, the Falcon was picked up by Han Solo and Chewbacca's sensors, and they promptly locked down the Falcon's systems so they could recapture it using a freighter they were then using for their smuggling operations. Upon boarding their old vessel, Han and Chewie went about inspecting their ship and found Rey and Finn hiding, whom they assumed were the thieves that had stolen the Falcon. When Rey and Finn explained that they were going to take a droid named BB-8 to the Resistance as he had a map that would reveal Luke's location, Han and Chewie agreed to help them. On the way, when the Falcon began to malfunction, the mechanically savy Rey, who was sitting in the cockpit to the right of Han, made a modification to the ship by simply bypassing a faulty converter. Later, the Falcon crew arrived at the planet Takodana and met Maz Kanata.

Following the attack on Maz Kanata's castle, Starkiller Base prepared to fire on D'Qar, and the Resistance devised a plan to sneak onto the surface and lower the planetary shields so the fighters could attack the superweapon's weak spot. Using the Falcon, Han, Chewbacca, and Finn infiltrated the base, lowered the shields, and reunited with Rey, who was captured during a raid on Takodana by the First Order.

After the confrontation with Kylo Ren following the death of Han Solo, Chewbacca rescued Finn and Rey aboard the Falcon, managing to escape the planet as it exploded. After learning of Luke Skywalker's location, Rey, R2, and Chewbacca flew in the Falcon to Ahch-To, the distant planet where he was exiled.
